Birth support includes two prenatal visits: one visit at 28-30 weeks and one visit at 34-36 weeks. The first visit is all about getting to know you, maintaining a healthy pregnancy, ways to prevent issues in pregnancy, and connecting on a deeper level. The second prenatal visit is devoted to your birth preferences, a mini childbirth series, comfort measures, evidence-based education, and advocacy. Additionally, I attend your birth, and visit you within the first few days after delivery.
The goal with postpartum care is to provide you with the support you need to recovery seamlessly. Postpartum is multi-faceted, though. It consists of tricky parts as everyone adjusts to your new baby. Postpartum care is not limited to physical support, but also caring for the families’ emotional and mental wellbeing. My philosophy is that the mother comes first, baby second, and everything else, after that.
As much as I hate the saying “you are what you feed your body”, there is immense truth behind it. After having a baby, your body is depleted of its nutrients, blood, and energy. To restore your body, feeding it nutritive meals will help boost your mood, energy, and overall health. Working with other postpartum colleagues, I have created meal plans specific to postpartum recovery.
Using a method tailor-made to work for your family, I provide various methods of sleep training. Hop on a call to discuss certain methods, my personal experience, and why I recommend certain methods over others.
